Qualifications/Requirements - Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required, preferably in graphic design or communications (equivalent work experience may be considered).
- Two or more years of work experience in the graphics design field required, including internships.
- Strong layout and typography skills using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) in a Macintosh platform; fluency in MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint.
- Excellent communications skills and strong attention to detail. Previous writing and proofreading experience preferred.
- Ability to work in both a collaborative environment and independently on several projects at once, often against tight deadlines, while providing frequent status and progress updates to internal teams.
- Understanding of printing process, photography and illustration.
- Flexibility and ability incorporate feedback, while offering constructive advice on design choices that may better reflect the Association’s goals.
Reporting Structure The Graphic Designer reports to the Vice President of Integrated Marketing & Communications and is an integral part of the Association’s public affairs and communications team working closely with all departments.
