The Proxy Analyst & Investment Operations Specialist will be a key member of our operations team primarily responsible for proxy voting and supporting trading in international markets and complex instruments. The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating and analyzing proxy events, managing operational risk, creating and documenting efficient workflows, and supporting new initiatives for the firm. This person will work closely with other members of Operations and Technology teams as well as our Analysts, Portfolio Managers, Traders and Client Service Associates. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and an ability to work in a collaborative team atmosphere. Primary duties include the following:
Capture, track, evaluate, coordinate decision making, and respond to proxy voting events
Oversight of our proxy administrator and custodians including ballot reconciliation and ensuring custodian records are up to date
Join calls and meetings to discuss corporate governance trends with senior management both inside and outside the firm.
Prepare ad-hoc governance analysis and industry insight for analysts and investment committee members
Participate in firm ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) initiatives
Identify workflow/system improvements and work with technology and operations teams to enact change
Open local sub-custody accounts for our 40 Act and UCITS funds
Assist in due diligence process for new securities, instruments and markets
Provide oversight for outsourced collateral management and derivatives operations functions, including coordination with vendor, brokers, and custodians where applicable

Four year college degree (B.S. or B.A) with an excellent academic record
2+ years of experience at an asset management or wealth management firm
Strong quantitative, analytical and computer skills including excel
Advanced excel skills with demonstrated ability to evaluate large data sets
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to follow established work processes and meet strict deadlines
Ability to work effectively and independently as well as contributing to a team environment
