Office of Research & Economic Development - Office of Technology Commercialization
The office of Research & Economic Development - Office of Technology Commercialization is taking applications for a Senior Business Operations Associate. Successful applicants will be collaborative, patient problem solvers who are natural learners with outstanding communication skills. This person will assist in the direction of the operational, personnel, fiscal and managerial activities of an assigned department or office. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Receive and enter into database invention disclosures, including initial review and inventor meetings, and identify and fulfill third party obligations.
Review and make initial assessment of invention patentability.
Develop and implement marketing strategies for university inventions.
Assess business opportunities and participate in developing licensing strategies, identify and initiate contact with potential licensees, negotiate terms, and prepare draft agreements with university legal counsel.
Administer outside attorney selection for patent related activities, and case management of an inventory of inventions to include shepherding of required documents from inventors.
Maintain and develop relations with licensees in monitoring license agreements, ensure compliance with diligence terms.
Fulfillment of document requests for MTA, NDA, DUA and other agreements.
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Background in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, and/or Biology in additition to Technical Marketing experience.
Full Time/Part Time
$47,476 - $50,000
