Subcontract Specialist - Office of Sponsored Programs 11022
The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) at West Virginia University is seeking applications for a Subcontract Specialist (Sponsored Programs Administrator Senior). This position is responsible in part for the development and coordination of the negotiation, establishment, and preparation of subcontracts to small limited liability companies, large corporations, other institutions of higher education institutions, and foreign governments through sponsored research projects awarded to WVU or WVU Research Corporation. This position also plays a significant role in OSP's internal outreach to faculty and staff.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Establish subcontracts with other institutions of higher education, non-profit organizations, private companies and international entities.
Negotiate terms and conditions to protect WVU and WVURC's interests.
Ensure timely reporting on sponsored projects by coordinating with faculty, departments and other central administrative units.
Conduct workshops to educate faculty and staff on compliance and proper subcontract administration.
Prepare and analyze regular and ad hoc reports of subcontract activity utilizing University data sources.
Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master's Degree is preferred.
Two (2) years of Grant and Contract experience.
One (1) year of MS Suite of applications and business support software and systems experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience with public relations is preferred.
Strong leadership skills is preferred.
