A full time technician is needed to assist with performing experiments investigating effects of the air pollutants on infectious and inflammatory lung diseases. Candidates have a background in science and be capable of, and proficient with, learning to perform detailed procedures. Good record-keeping, organizational ability, and reliability. Working and collaborating well with others is also a part of the work environment.

Organizational Unit Overview:
The Department of Pharmacology consists of 14 full-time faculty members, 8 full-time Research Technicians, two full-time secretaries and thirteen graduate students. The department teaches Medical Pharmacology and Therapeutics to medical and graduate students and teaches Medical Pharmacology to the Physician Assistant students. A wide variety of specialized courses for graduate students are also taught. The educational objective of the department is to provide a sound basic foundation upon which medical students may build rational approaches to drug therapy regardless of the area of medical or surgical specialization. The graduate program through the Ph.D. in Pharmacology is broadly based to prepare students for careers in academics, research, government, industry and medicine.
In addition to their teaching duties, each of the faculty has a research laboratory and laboratory technician and performs research in his/her area of expertise. Faculty are expected to apply for grant support and to publish results of their research in professional journals.
