To take responsibility as Coverage Banker for Citi's largest Energy relationship. This portfolio consists of clients across the oil and gas value chain including International Oil Companies ("IOCs"), National Oil Companies ("NOCs"), Independent Exploration and Production Companies, Oil Field Service Companies, Commodity Traders and Refining and Marketing Companies
To gain exposure to the full Natural Resource spectrum of clients incl. both energy and power
To originate business across the Citi's product set
To strengthen the entirety of the client relationship by working closely with coverage partners in CMO, Markets, Securities Services, TTS and Investment Banking.

The Corporate and Investment Banking business provides financial advisory services on a wide range of strategic transactions (including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers and re-structuring) and capital-raising projects and debt financing projects, for corporate clients, financial institutions and governments worldwide. Our bankers work closely with our other business units to ensure client access to the full range of products and expertise within the organisation. The position sits within the Corporate Banking Natural Resources team. The Banker will support the client business in EMEA. The role involves a reasonable amount of client contact both face-to-face and by phone. The CB Natural Resource team has credit and analytical responsibility for a large number of Energy and Power clients in Western Europe but also CEE, ME and Africa. The role also includes a Reserve Based Lending ("RBL") structuring capability which is carried out within CB - a modelling/structuring learning opportunity unique to the Natural Resources team, primarily for Independent Exploration and Production Companies.
Manage the Corporate Banking relationships for UK Energy and also the wider Natural Resources clients
Develop relationship with the clients' head office teams as well as with key subsidiaries
Engage daily with clients to deliver Citi's full product set (flow and episodic) across the globe
Develop and maintain knowledge of the developments in the core product set to explore and refer opportunities
Client Management including assisting in developing appropriate credit strategies and attending client meetings and presentations as appropriate in managing day to day relations
The VP will develop (i) in-depth understanding of the dynamics of the business, (ii) an understanding of clients' priorities with the aim of identifying appropriate marketing opportunities and (iii) strong relationships internally with key product, risk and regional partners.
Prior experience in Corporate and Investment Banking Demonstrate a working knowledge of a broad spectrum of products and how they meet client needs Experience with various clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and securities Credit trained, used to taking a lead role in establishing the creditworthiness of counterparties Experienced at client planning and coordinating input from multiple product areas Strong knowledge of Accounting and Corporate Finance Advanced Financial Modeling experience Understanding of the Energy industry and preferably also Project Finance
Analytical - assimilating new information quickly and relating it to the needs of the client base Proactivity, identifying situations that could result in new business and developing recommendations tailored to the client People skills - building a rapport with clients and internal stakeholders Verbal and Written Communication - attention to detail and assuming responsibility over time for client contact Quantitative and Financial Modelling skills
Banking background gained from a reputable firm where you will have gained first class training and development as a banker Educated to university degree level
Excellent interpersonal skills; Self-starter; Networking; Team Player; Credit Analytics and Financial Modeling experience; Excellent computer skills especially Excel; Risk assessment and valuation; Leadership in team oriented environment
