Develop and Manage Foundation/Corporate Grant Program
Write non-programmatic sections of foundation grant proposals and LOIs
Assist in the research and identify potential foundation funding sources
Create/maintain prospect and funding cycle tracking system
Track/maintain system for grants proposals, LOIs, awards, reporting deadlines and rejections
Maintain and update supporting documents as needed and manage the preparation of project boilerplates Assist with Membership Program
Support member cultivation by creating and implementing strategies to keep members engaged and bring in new members. Serve as a membership representative at organization events
Provide membership customer service to members and public
Help create, send and analyze member survey
Manage benefits fulfillment for Business Membership Program
Serve as primary liaison to groups supporting membership, such as the Membership Associates and AmbassadorsMaintain Database Integrity
Work with other team members to reconcile entry of gifts into Salesforce and identify discrepancies
Establish standard operating procedures for data entry, reporting, and policies to ensure data integrity and streamlining of functions
Support General Fundraising Activities
Assist with agency’s major fundraising events
Provide general support to development team as assigned
Board Liaison – coordinate board meetings, administrative duties as necessary
Create mailing lists and reports to support fundraising activities
Work with IT and Development Director to develop new processes as technology evolves
Support the management team with research and operations in respect to advancing development goals
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in Active Trans obligatory organizational events and activities
Superior communications skills, including written, presentational and public relations
Highly organized with great attention to detail
Ability to persuade an audience, both in writing and in person
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Bachelor’s degree preferred
A passion for the transformational nature of bicycling, walking and transit on community livability and sustainability
A commitment to Active Transportation Alliance mission, vision and goals
Non-profit development experience preferred or related experience in marketing, advertising or communications

Salary & Benefits
Start Date & Term: This is a full-time position and is available immediately. The position will be based at the Active Transportation Alliance office in Chicago’s North Loop area.
