Responsible for ongoing management of electronic data storage and access within the organization. Provides design, development, database administration, technical assistance, and training with new systems. Provides enhancements, database administration, technical assistance, and training for current systems. Works exclusively with Microsoft SQL.
Associate’s degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field from an educational institution accredited by a DOE recognized accreditation body and three years of experience required. Or equivalent combination and education and experience. Work experience in SQL Server, Visual Studio and Microsoft Access required. Experience in database software installation/upgrades and configuration; establishment and maintenance of database backup/restore/recovery processes and procedures; database server monitoring, and SQL performance tuning; schema management (tables, indexes, triggers, etc.) required. Experience with troubleshooting, problem resolution, reporting and tracking required. Must pass criminal background check.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field from an educational institution accredited by a DOE recognized accreditation body preferred. Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Certified Professional preferred. ASP.NET/C#/VB.NET development experience preferred. Microsoft Certified Database Administrator preferred.
