The position is in the laboratory of Dr. Christine Mac Donald.Wages: $25.00/hourExpected Work Load: 4-8 hours per week* In the past, all Psychometrists have maintained full time employment elsewhere and complete this study responsibility in addition to their primary position.Expected Work Time Frame: All hours will be evenings and weekends. It is expected that each employee will work on average 2 weekends a month and support 3-5 evening sessions during the week, on average 1-2 weeks per month. Weekend work will require travel to research clinic. Evening hours are assessment sessions conducted over the phone and can be completed anywhere that meets HIPAA privacy standards.Expected Study Start Date: 1 April 2019Assessments to Perform:1. Neurospsychological Testing:a. Conner's Continuous Performance Test II, a computer-based assessment of attention, impulsivity, reaction time, and vigilance.b. California Verbal Learning Test II, an assessment of verbal declarative memory.c. 25 hole grooved pegboard test, an assessment of upper extremity motor speed and coordination.d. Timed 25 foot walk, an assessment of motor strength, balance, coordination.e. Trail Making test, an assessment of visual scanning, coordination and mental flexibility.f. Controlled Oral Word Association test, an assessment of verbal fluency.g. Wechsler Test of Adult Reading as an estimate of pre-injury verbal intelligence.h. Iowa Gambling Test, a computer-based assessment of impulsivity and decision making.i. Ruff-Light Trail Learning Test, an assessment of visual-spatial memory.j. D-KEFS Color-Word Interference Test, an multi-domain assessment of executive function.k. Brief Test of Adult Cognition by Telephone (BTACT), a multi-domain assessment for verbal and working memory, executive function, reasoning, and processing speed. 2. Psychiatric Testing:a. Clinician-Administered PTSD Scale for DSM-IV (CAPS), an evaluation of PTSD symptoms.b. Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS), an evaluation of depression symptoms.c. PTSD Checklist-Military (PCL-M), a brief questionnaire capturing PSTD symptoms.d. Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), a brief questionnaire capturing depression symptoms.e. Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI), Anxiety module, a brief questionnaire capturing anxiety symptoms.f. Insomnia Severity Index, an assessment of poor sleep and impact of poor sleep life quality.g. Combat Exposures Scale, an assessment of the intensity of combat exposure during deployment.h. Michigan Alcohol Screening Test, an assessment of alcohol burden and misuse.NOTE: Training will be provided by the study for any exam the employee may not be familiar with. All employees will be paid for their hours of training. Minimum Education/Experience Required: Masters degree OR Bachelors +2 years OR 2 years as a Psychometrist 1Preferred Education/Experience: Graduate work in psychology or social work. Prior experience in performing neuropsychological and/or psychiatric assessments. Prior exposure to patients with neurological disorders and/or disabilities is preferred but not necessary.Critical Skills and Expertise: Excellent character. Empathetic to those with disabilities. Willing to work evenings and weekends. Good with people. Works well in on a research team.
