The Consumer Retail & Healthcare investment banking group provides corporate clients across both the consumer and retail spectrum with advice, access to financing and execution expertise across a wide range of investment banking products.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFIL YOUR POTENTIAL
Our associates play an important role in developing and strengthening our client relationships, participating on our advisory teams and in structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions. They will gain exposure to the firm's businesses and expand their knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communications and marketing skills.
- Creating and analysing financial models, organizing and preparing client presentations, helping manage transaction processes, and assisting in structuring transactions. - Developing financial models, perform customised company valuation analysis, and are actively involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and fixed income and equity issuances. - Organising and preparing presentations, which explain industry trends, assess clients' situations to provide the necessary financial advice, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. - Coordinating teams of tax advisors, attorneys, and bankers for various transactions. - Leading due diligence processes and actively participate in the negotiations of legal documentation - Maintaining client communication to helping Goldman Sachs structure client transactions
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Strong academic record with Bachelor's degree, equivalent or above in Economics, Finance or a related discipline required - Prior investment banking/financial services industry experience required - Previous Consumer/Retail and Healthcare sector experience required - Experience with financial modelling, preparing marketing material, Q&A and pitch books required - Experience in performing various analyses including valuation analysis, benchmarking analysis, competitor and industry analysis required - Familiarity with buyer targeting exercises, creating responses to RFP requests - Experience in conducting/leading due-diligence processes required - Demonstrable client relationship management experience required - Experience in preparing internal memos, rating agency and roadshow presentations required - Experience in drafting of the OM and organised investor meetings - Excellent communication skills required - Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members in multiple groups and regions
