The Diocese of El Paso seeks a forward-thinking, innovative leader who is interested in leading the transformation of curriculum and instructional delivery with a holistic, 21st Century, faith-based foundation and collaborative approach. We are looking for the candidate who is able to help boost the schools' efficacy in management and governance through an integrated model that allows for continuous improvement in changing conditions. The ideal candidate should have a proven record of achievement as a change agent, an understanding and appreciation of enrollment and development activities, excellent communication skills, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to motivate and bring out the best in others. The Superintendent serves almost 3,000 students enrolled in three high schools and eight elementary schools in a vibrant, friendly U.S./Mexico border community. The application period runs from March 1 to April 30, or until sufficient interest is reached. The target start date is July 1, 2019.
Joyfully practicing Catholic in full communion with the Catholic Church
Advanced degree in educational administration, educational leadership, or other appropriate discipline
Significant teaching and administrative experience in Catholic schools
Excellent communication, management, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and abilities
Ability to communicate in Spanish; if not, willingness to learn
