Responsible for managing daily operational activities in the Distribution Center and coordinating improvements between the Distribution Center and other supply chain partners.
Major responsibilities Functional
Work directly with 3pl on health checks, managing standard operating practices for Inventory Control, Quality, Returns, Inbound and Outbound functions.
Coordinate with the leadership team to drive process improvement and productivity within the facility
Work with supply chain partners (purchasing, manufacturing, transportation, distributors, etc) to develop and implement improvements to D.C. processes and procedures for optimizing quality, customer service, and productivity,
Lead continuous improvement activities including process innovations, employee development, operations strategies, and other areas as applicable.
Manage the development of coordinators in effectively completing their responsibilities.
Continuously improve operational interfaces between Rockwell Automation and 3rd party. Work with internal RA partners to drive continuous improvements across multiple business units.
Assist in preparation of the annual operating budget and manage operation in order to maintain that budget.
Ensures thorough familiarity with policies and procedures relating to standards of business conduct and trains and motivates subordinates and other employees in the importance of full compliance with the letter and spirit of such policies and procedures. Sets tone for standards of integrity and ethical behavior.
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans and directions for the facility
Partner with all levels of plant management in responding to and implementing change
Provide assistance to company management in it's mission to maintain freedom from third party influences by fostering a viable employee relations program, protecting management rights, flexibility and productivity levels, and the rights of all employees.
Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell/Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.
Networks across the organization and develops successful internal and external relationships.
Provide assistance to all employees and levels of management with respect to the resolution of employee problems or complaints
Communicate effectively and in a timely manner. Keeps direct reports, team members and key operations players well informed of company issues and direction.
Fosters culture of teamwork which values employee engagement and open communication within the facility and the business as a whole
Partner with managers and employees to promote a culture of employee success through customer success
Maximize contribution to RA business results through personal accomplishments and directing/influencing others.
Apply relevant business metrics for area
Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network.
Trains and motivates subordinates in the importance of full compliance with the letter and spirit of such policies and procedures.
Manages key departmental expenses to meet budget.
