The Department of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) invites applications for the Lectureship Position.
Who We Look For
We would like to invite a fresh or recent PhD graduate in areas related with Organizational Behavior or Human Resource Management who has demonstrated potential in both research and teaching and has an interest in experiencing one of the world’s most dynamic economies to join our team.
CEIBS provides institutional support and adequate resources to assist its faculty members, especially junior ones, to grow into competent researchers and teachers. Lecturers will be assigned a highly-committed senior faculty member as a mentor to help develop their teaching and research capabilities during their three year-contract.
The lecturers will get guidance in developing their first courses at CEIBS and can co-teach with senior faculty members to fulfill their contractual teaching loads, which are as low as an annual average of 20 sessions (one session is equivalent to 1 to 1.5 hours of in-classroom teaching depending on the programs). They also have the opportunity to co-author with senior faculty members to publish in top-tier academic journals.
The full annual compensation package for lectureship position starts from RMB 400,000 (1 USD equals about 6.7 RMB at the current exchange rate). For lecturers, once their appointment expires (even before it expires), subject to their qualifications and upon recommendation of their corresponding academic departments and Faculty Evaluation Committee, they will be appointed as Assistant Professor at CEIBS. The faculty compensation at CEIBS for ranks other than lectureship is benchmarked against that of top 10 U. S. business schools. In addition to the base salary, the school provides an adequate housing allowance, an education allowance for international schooling of faculty’s children, private international medical insurance as well as a private pension plan. Additionally, the school offers generous research funding, teaching load reduction/bonus for high-calibre research outcomes, and reduced teaching load for assistant professors.
