As a member of Digital Evolution & Value Chain, you will be part of Zurich's Digital & Resilience Risk team that together with other functional risk teams facilitates effective risk management practices and advisory activities to promote a sound risk awareness culture around the digital transformation. The team specifically focuses on the digital evolution, innovation, technological simplification and third party risk management, enabling risk transparency on core elements along the value chain across the group.
Our team is comprised of highly qualified experts with a variety of backgrounds in advisory, information governance, sourcing and other operational risk disciplines and we are currently looking for a motivated Senior Risk Officer with a proven track record in third party risk management and corresponding fields of expertise who is ready for new challenges.
As a Senior Risk Officer (m/f) your main responsibilities will involve:
Providing subject matter expertise advisory related third party risk management, enabling assigned business partners to operate in the most efficient and effective way
Providing challenge and risk insights to business partners in support of them achieving business objectives
Working closely with corporate executives and other assurance functions to understand corporate requirements related to third party risk and incorporating these into the company's third party risk management strategy
Conducting analysis for early identification of risks and ensuring remediation actions are defined and monitored
Facilitating effective monitoring of business areas risk exposures against risk tolerance and providing consistent, reliable and timely risk information to relevant decision-making bodies
Ensuring that risks associated with third parties, before and after entering into contracts, are sufficiently identified, assessed, monitored and controlled. Influencing governance, oversight and decision-making related to sourcing and ongoing third party management via stakeholder engagement
Providing insights, training and awareness to key stakeholders and business partners on third party risk management and contributing to external engagements and interaction with respective parties
Your Skills and Experience
As a Senior Risk Officer (m/f) your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Successful candidates will have a strong sourcing and third party risk background, and must demonstrate motivation to continuously learn and expand their knowledge and skills of digital technologies and digital business in the context of third party risk. In particular, we are looking for individuals with the following skills:
Ability to understand sourcing and third party risks and translate these into business risks, a strong business acumen and the ability to connect business and technology
Excellent verbal, written, organizational, presentation and interpersonal communications skills and the ability to present and explain complex information in a way that establishes rapport and persuades others and gains understanding
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
Minimum of 8 years focused expertise and working knowledge in sourcing and third party risk management and working within the financial services industry
Experience of working for a leading consultancy / professional services firm; Experience of working within the insurance industry and with digital business models /capabilities; CRISC; PMP/Prince
