The Search Engine Optimization Specialist will be responsible for assisting the SEO team lead in all SEO activities such as content strategy, link building, and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the execution of our local search strategy and governance of local listings for providers and locations to ensure leadership in the search space across multiple service lines and location types.
Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing.
Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization.
Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations.
Research and analyze competitor advertising links.
Develop and implement link building strategy.
Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code.
Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive inbound and local SEO in content creation and content programming.
Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
Manage provider and location local listings in Google and other data aggregators to ensure optimal local search visibility.
Experience with Google Analytics, Search Console, and Ads Keyword Tool.
Experience with Google My Business and other local listings management tools (Bing, Yext, Moz Local, etc.).
A functional understanding of HTML and CSS.
The ability to work with back-end SEO elements such as .htaccess, robots.txt, metadata, site speed optimization, and related skills.
Familiarity with link-building strategies.
Understanding of mobile strategy and how it relates to SEO.
A solid grasp of how blogging, PR, social media, and related strategies influence SEO strategies.
Experience in building inbound organic search traffic and improving SERPs.
A working knowledge of current, past and projected trends in the SEO industry.
