The University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Dentistry, a leader in the advancement of oral healthcare, is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Office Support Assistant IV to provide administrative support for several departments.
The UMKC Dental School Business Office is seeking applications for an experienced Office Support Assistant IV. The position will work closely with the Director of Business Administration to support the management and ensure efficient operations through a variety of tasks. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Handling the office phone, greets and directs faculty, students, staff and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Provide information by answering questions and requests
Organizing and scheduling meetings and appointments
Managing administrative duties for parking operations at the Dental School
Managing temps and invoice processing
Monitoring HR Reporting
Issuing insurance liability letters
Managing advertising as required by the UMKC Diversity recruitment plan.
Carry out other administrative duties such as filing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
The ideal candidate will be proactive problem-solvers with a positive, can-do attitude, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build strong professional relationships.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, PeopleSoft or similar database software preferred, as well as some working knowledge of Dentrix dental software.
The ability to learn new tasks and take on additional responsibilities will be essential, qualified candidates will have strong attention to detail, demonstrated initiative, and the ability to project manage multiple complex tasks of competing priority.
Full Time/Part Time
This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position.
$13.27 -$18.00, commensurate with education and experience.
