The Interdisciplinary Center for Innovative Theory and Empirics (INCITE) is pleased to announce a new postdoctoral program that will hire up to two postdoctoral fellows in the field of Modern American History and Politics. We seek exceptional scholars who specialize in any aspect of Modern American History or American politics, especially those with research interests in domestic or foreign policy, social history, immigration, race, gender, social movements, Post-1945 United States, labor, and the executive, legislative, and the various branches of government. Scholars with interest in or experience with oral history and interdisciplinary collaboration are especially encouraged to apply.
Fellows will work with an interdisciplinary team of scholars that includes sociologists, political scientists, historians, and others to design and execute a new study examining recent American history.
Candidates need to complete doctoral work in history or a relevant social science or humanities field by July 1, 2019. These positions will last up to three years. Salary will start at $67,500, a $5,000 annual research stipend, and benefits. No teaching is required.
