As an experienced Senior Manager, you will join our Sydney based Macquarie Capital Financial Control team. You will advise the Macquarie Capital business on the financial implications of new products, transactions and accounting changes as well as identifying opportunities to optimise balance sheet usage and ultimately maximise financial returns.
In this challenging role, you will assess the impacts of new accounting standards, products and transactions and make appropriate recommendations to the business. Your focus will be on the accounting for global Macquarie Capital principal investments, including equity accounting for associate investments and reviewing monthly investment reports and balance sheet reconciliations. Additionally, you will provide assistance to corporate centre teams in the preparation of tax returns and financial reports and have oversight and review of Financial and Financial Control due diligence reports for new and existing investments.
Key to your success in this role will be your technical skills and qualifications which will include a tertiary degree in accounting or similar, and a CA or CPA qualification coupled with a proven financial control background. Your ability to establish strong working relationships across multiple stakeholders will drive your personal development across global transactions in all sectors. Further, you will have the ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing deadlines while managing and mentoring junior team members. Naturally, your commercial approach and pro-active nature will ensure your success in this varied role.
