EMEIA FSO (Financial Services Office) comprises 19 countries across Western Europe. The EMEIA FSO Regional Leadership Team (RLT) are supported by a team of risk management professionals providing consultation services and support to engagement teams on matters of policy, risk management, quality and compliance as well as related processes. In addition to managing the strategic risks, Risk Management also focus on external regulatory and political risk, market risk, and the risk facing a large financial services-driven operation. Risk Management oversees EMEIA FSO-wide activities designed to help all of our people meet our global and local compliance responsibilities, and support our client-facing teams in delivering quality and exceptional client service.
We are looking for a Senior Associate to work in the 'Risk Governance, Operational Risk and Compliance' pillar of the EMEIA FSO Risk Management team. The role will provide the opportunity to gain a wide range of experience in risk management and regulatory compliance and supporting the execution of risk governance across the EMEIA FSO region.
Your Key Responsibilities:
You will be a key part of the Risk Management team ensuring the firm's compliance with internal and regulatory requirements. This includes delivering on compliance priorities and providing support in risk management and quality aspects of the firm's internal processes, as well as assisting senior members of the team on risk management and reporting compliance activities across the region. Responsibilities include: End of year quality assessment- MARQ
Liaise with Talent, Service Line Quality and local Risk Management teams to agree the process,
timeline and execution plan
Collate the required input/data on risk management and quality related matters from regional and local risk management and quality teams
Coordinate a successful and timely central upload of data for all EMEIA FSO jurisdictions
Work with the process implementation team to ensure a successful completion of year-end quality assessment
Internal partner promotion and admission processes:
Assist in the Quality and Risk Management aspect of the EMEIA FSO internal promotion processes for partner and associate partner candidates
Provide input in producing the Risk Management interview case study, obtaining direct input from Service Line Quality Leaders and Risk Management Leader
Ensure delivery to the process timeline, including organising training sessions, working with Talent, Independence, Risk Management and Service Line Quality teams
Produce a report on the quality and risk management outcome of the interviews
Assist in developing risk management approach to direct admission partners across EMEIA FSO
Responsible for ensuring employees' compliance with all mandatory trainings and EY's annual confirmation across EMEIA FSO in collaboration with the offshore and local risk management teams
Ensure the reports are cascaded on a timely basis to the relevant teams and raise any issues to EY training team
Support senior members of the team with FSO compliance processes in relation to activities undertaken locally within host countries
Assist in conducting periodic reviews of how risk management is delivered between EMEIA FSO and local host countries and update the agreed Statement of Responsibilities on an ongoing basis
Prepare reports and presentations for leadership meetings and other key stakeholders
Deal with ad hoc risk, compliance, risk reporting and Independence related queries

Good communication skills capable of dealing with wide range of staff, including Partners and key stakeholders
Able to operate calmly under pressure and manage competing priorities
Able to work collaboratively across the EMEIA region and with the wider business as a whole to build strong working relationships
Capable of working using own initiative, with good analytical and organisational skills
To qualify for the role you must have:
Previous experience working in compliance and risk management
Good organisational and time management skills with a strong focus on delivering quality results
Problem solving skills
Education to degree standard will be an advantage
Ideally, you'll also have
Willingness to travel
Experience working in a professional or financial services organisation
