The Practice Administrator is responsible for successfully managing and operating the practice at both clinic sites, and provides staff members with the resources required to meet patient needs and meet the financial objectives of the practice. Works with clinical manager in a cohesive manner to ensure overall success of the practice.
Primary Job Responsibilities: 1. Establishes/implements goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems for all non-clinical operational areas of the practice. 2. Establishes/implements/oversees marketing plan to include web site, social media, printed materials. 3. Establishes/implements/monitors new patient acquisition and retention program. 4. Develops/implements long-range plans. 5. Manages the daily operations while developing, monitoring, and analyzing budget and financial information. 6. In collaboration with the Clinic Manager, track physician and staff productivity and ensure peak performance. 7. Serves as the HIPAA Privacy Officer. 8. Serves as Human Resources manager and ensures effective administration/ implementation of compensation, benefits, job descriptions, personnel policies and payroll practices. 9. Responsible for recruitment, training and supervision of all non-clinical staff. 10. Responsible for staff supervision, performance evaluation, merit increases and disciplinary actions for non-clinical staff. 11. Resolves administrative and operational problems including the maintenance of clinic property, computer systems and installed software applications. 12. Ensures compliance with regulations and standards. 13. Gathers and reports data for fiscal and statistical analysis. 14. Coordinates with clinical staff to ensure quality patient care and services are provided. 15. Serves as a liaison between practice and external agencies. 16. Develops strategic plans and objectives based upon identified needs of patients. 17. Maintains the strictest confidentiality. 18. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge: 1. Knowledge of principles and practices of health care planning and management sufficient to manage, direct, and coordinate the operation of a single specialty medical group practice. 2. Knowledge of the purposes, organization, and policies of the community's health systems sufficient to interact with and manage the practice’s relationship with other health care providers. 3. Knowledge of practice management computer systems and applications. 4. Knowledge of the policies and procedures of a medical group practice sufficient to direct its operations and, in collaboration with the Clinic Manager, provide effective patient care. 5. Knowledge of government and reimbursement regulations and requirements. 6. Knowledgeable of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care and other third party payor's guidelines. 7. General knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.

Education: Degree in health care administration, business administration, or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the administration of a specialty, private physician practice.
