This individual will assist the Project Coordinator in all aspects of the day-to-day administration of the project to ensure it runs smoothly.
Subject Recruitment & Enrollment/Data Collection (70%) - Recruit and enroll eligible subjects into longitudinal study in accordance with research protocol. This will include limited travel to Minnesota Army National Guard training sites on Saturdays and Sundays during the subject recruitment phase of the study. - Maintain study databases and accurate data entry. - Obtain informed consent from study participants and implement laboratory procedures per established protocols. - Maintain accurate and detailed records of study visits. - Conduct follow-up outreach to study subjects and assist with scheduling laboratory visits in accordance with research protocols. - Keep meticulously detailed records of all study activites and procedures. - Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and order items as needed. - Train volunteer research assistants in laboratory procedures and assist with troubleshooting.
Data Entry/Data Management (15%) - Scan and verify data into study databases. Assist in data cleaning and management per established protocols.
Administrative (15%) - Assist in conducting library work, preparing bibliographies, and managing literature searches. - Assists in preparing reports and regulatory documents; coordinates study meetings, and assists in maintaining written correspondence. - Maintain professional clearances/human studies training in order to be fully qualified to work with sensitive data as promulgated by the IRB, HIPAA, VHA, and other regulatory agencies. - Independently maintain organized records and files.
Training will be provided for all position responsibilities.
Hours for the position are Monday - Friday from 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
A one to two year commitment is requested with an end date of June, 2021.

Required Qualifications: - Bachelors (BA/BS) degree in psychology, sociology, public health or related allied health field from an accredited college or university or combination of related education and work experience to equal four years. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. - Strong oral and written communication skills. - Ability to work flexible schedule - some limited travel within the state is required on Saturdays and Sundays during the subject recruitment phase of the project. Work related travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with military/veteran populations as well as knowledge of miltary systems. - Prior research experience. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
