Budget Title: Staff Associate (SL-4)
This position will have the following job duties:
Field placement and student support (55%)
Work with Associate Directors of Field Education in placing students in the field
Work with Associate Directors of Field Education in developing new partnerships, affiliations and field placements with community agencies
Work with Associate Directors of Field Education in visiting with prospective field placement agencies
Work with Associate Directors of Field Education in meeting with prospective field instructors and task supervisors
Work with Associate Directors of Field Education to support and mediate students' concerns with their field placements
Assist with organization and facilitation of student and field instructor orientations as needed
Serve as Coordinator for the Hartford Partnership Program for Aging Education (HPPAE) (15%)
Supervise students in the HPPAE program (individual and group supervision)
Coordinate Continuing Education Program (15%)
Review all continuing education workshop proposals
Write, maintain and distribute department continuing education letter
Coordinate and recruit possible CE workshop presenters
Welcome CE event participants, sign in social workers and monitor the room to ensure attendees are in congruence with NYS CE policies and procedures
Maintain social work CE provider license for NYS and PA
Maintain New York State Mandated Reporter training provider license
Teaching and Service (15%)
Teach one course in the Social Work Program a calendar year
Assist as a MSW Program Field Liaison as needed
Assist with being an academic advisor for the department
Master's degree in Social Work
NYS Social Work License (LMSW or LCSW)
Knowledge of community human service resources in the Southern Tier
History of supervising graduate social work students
3 years of post MSW practice experience with older adults
Familiarity with CSWE requirements for field education
Experience with teaching graduate students
Knowledge of NYS and PA social work continuing education requirements
