We Offer First Line of Defence Support (FLDS) supports the business, helping it embed and maintain a robust culture which is the basis for a sustainable and compliant business. FLDS is closely aligned with the businesses, implementing and maintaining an effective risk governance and control framework for it.Facilitating in the application of procedures and the usage of tools to implement operational risk management controls, a monitoring framework in alignment with the second line of defense functions, as well as timely and complete reporting on risk and control metrics. In addition, it comprises partnering with the business management in providing timely and accurate risk information, actively recommending measures/initiatives to address identified business risks, assessing business initiatives from a risk perspective, and escalating issues to the second line of defense. This is a rapidly evolving area in a changing environment, which is both challenging and demanding.
In this role the individual will be involved in:
Supporting management in identifying, preventing and handling the risks resulting from internal processes, people, systems or external events.
Supporting the front office organization to take corrective measures when metrics are in breach of the senior management/Entity Boards approved thresholds.
Managing and coordinating risk management topics across business areas and legal entities.
Facilitating and coordinating 'risk initiatives; including the business' participation in internal audits, desk reviews or regulatory examinations.
Work collaboratively with the business, management, AM FLDS colleagues globally and specialists within the second (i.e. Compliance and Operational Risk) and third (audit) lines of defense.
Lead or participate in project work.
Foster a positive risk culture with the business area.

Previous experience in a risk discipline or controls function or operations is essential
Ability to engage and influence with proficient interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to established timeframes.
Drive to deliver independently to high quality standards with an eagerness to learn.
Knowledge of institutional Asset Management.
Astute problem solver with solid analytical skills who is competent with Microsoft Office with above average expertise in Excel and PowerPoint desirable.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written as the candidate would be expected to articulate complex risk issues in a structured, concise and effective manner.
Enthusiasm to establish professional relationships at all levels.
