Our (Anti-Financial Crime) AFC team is responsible for protecting Deutsche Bank from financial and reputational losses incurred by financial crimes by assessing, controlling and mitigating risks. Risk types related to Anti-Financial Crime are consolidated in a comprehensive and effective risk management framework that covers Anti-Money-Laundering, Sanctions & Embargoes, Anti-Bribery & Corruption as well as Anti-Fraud & Investigations.
The Regulatory Governance & Enforcement (RG&E) team also leads AFC's involvement in litigation and other contentious matters, as well as complex legal issues involving the department.
As an Anti-Money-Laundering Regulatory Change Advisor you'll work closely with Legal and Compliance colleagues. RG&E's team mandate is global. Its agenda is set by and agreed between the Global Head of RG&E and, for each region, the Regional Head of AFC. Members of the RG&E team will deal both with matters that are region-specific; and with global projects and matters, involving multiple locations.
Evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Fraud, Bribery & Corruption (AML/AFBC) risks in accordance with group audit methodology and the established risk assessment framework
Conducting AML/AFBC risk assessments for the hub in London and contribute to risk assessment/business monitoring conducted at the country level by country Audit Heads
Undertaking audit assignments, draft audit issues for review by audit management, conduct issue tracking and validate closure of issues. Participate in and lead meetings with business auditors and provide input for business-led audits
Developing and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, the business and respective support areas and work in an integrated manner with fellow team members both locally and globally
Assisting in training other Group Audit (GA) staff on AML/AFBC topics and oversee execution of the AML/AFBC audit program
Completing all work assigned on a timely basis, including ad hoc projects and special investigations
Assisting the Principal Audit Manager in preparing to liaise with external regulators to provide assurance of DB's audit coverage relating to AML/AFBC
Developing and maintain broad regulatory knowledge & experience
Staying abreast of business/industry changes and their effect on the department's audit plan, methodology and risk assessments
Skills & Qualifications:
Multiple years of experience within financial services in an Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) role, or as Internal Auditor covering Anti-Financial Crime
Thorough understanding of the banking risk and control environment, and in-depth knowledge of the regulatory environment specific to Anti-Financial Crime
Proven record of excellent written & verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within Group Audit and with stakeholders
