The candidate will perform daily landfill inspections and reporting, weekly landfill regulatory inspections and conduct risk assessments. This position will also prepare cost estimates for projects and manage landfill construction contractor. The candidate will have responsibility of developing and implementing a short and long term strategic maintenance plans, including responsibility of monitoring environment landfill budgets. Prepare requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, and award contracts. Research and understand appropriate legislation and guidelines governing landfill sites. Research new technology and advancements in landfill maintenance and operation. Collect samples and evaluate soil and water quality date and evaluate efficiency of monitoring programs.
Bachelor of Science plus 3 years related experience and/or training is preferred. Knowledge of power plant operations is a plus. Good communication skills required.
