To provide support to the Office of Disability Resources and assist with accommodations, including administering and proctoring exams; appointments for intakes, follow-ups, exams and general office duties.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Provides academic accommodations that have been approved by disability specialists, such as administering and proctoring exams and scribing for exams;
Makes student appointments for intakes, follow-ups, exam proctoring, and other needs;
Greets and engages with students, faculty, and staff to foster supportive, student-oriented environment;
Answers phones, checks department voicemail, and routes messages appropriately;
Maintains online calendar for testing and other student appointments;
Handles office-related paperwork and reports;
Maintains confidentiality of student information and testing materials, with special attention to FERPA;
Other office duties as assigned.
Associates degree or equivalent work experience;
Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to work both independently and collaboratively;
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other similar programs;
Equipment usage skills: PCs, Printers, Copiers
Ability to give written and oral instructions;
Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information;
Preferred: Experience working in a college environment and/or with students with disabilities.
