Change Recruitment Group's Edinburgh based Asset Manager is looking to recruit a Settlements Central Supports Analyst (projects & change) to join their expanding team and help support initiatives and projects that will benefit the team.
The Settlements Department is made up of five teams. The Cash & FX Settlements team monitor all cash positions to ensure compliance with internal and client specific rules at all times. The Corporate Actions team are responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of corporate action events across all markets. The Equity & Bond Operations team ensures the timely settlement of all equity and bond transactions from the point of execution to settlement in the local market. The Derivatives Operations team ensures all ETD and OTC derivative related transactions are monitored and instructed in a timely manner, including margining and regulatory trade reporting. The Settlements Central Support team prioritise, coordinate and deliver our departmental projects, deliver and coordinate Settlements related training and coordinate the Custodian Service review quarterly papers and meetings.
This is an exciting opportunity to move into a dynamic and forward-thinking team within the Settlements Department. As a member of the Settlements Central Support team you will ensure that Department Projects & Process Improvements are prioritised, coordinated and successfully delivered.
In addition, this role also requires the individual to support the Team, Department and wider business on a varying degree of tasks and centralised functions. Our aim is to ensure the delivery of high standards and adhere to team & department guidelines.
This role would suit an enthusiastic and results driven person, who has experience of working in a project environment and is not afraid to challenge current business processes with a view to improvement.
Responsibilities of the Settlements Central Supports Analyst (projects & change):
- Support Senior/ Team Manager as required - Develop both internal and external relationships to ensure appropriate service levels are achieved - Facilitate and develop the relationship between Settlements and other internal department/external parties. Ensure feedback from meetings is communicated to team (where appropriate), Senior/ Team Manager in a similar fashion - Provide team overviews to support training and development for graduate, secondment and project requirements
Projects & Process Improvements
- Project Support - Providing support to Settlements Teams in respect of Projects, Continuous Development & Process Improvements. - Prioritisation – Ensuring prioritisation of projects in line with Information Systems Department and the Settlements Department Business Plan - Requirements - Support the Settlements Teams in creating/documenting Project requirements and ensuring these are delivered in collaboration with the Information Systems Project Team - Governance - Ensure project business requirements are documented, prioritised and delivered. With sufficient UAT completed before delivery - Testing – ensuring that proper test plans are created and that the relevant testing is completed and documented in respect of UAT - Communication – providing relevant communication to touch point areas, to keep them informed of Project progress - Resource – Ensure adequate resource is available for projects from Business and Systems Departments - Awareness - Proactively identify processes for improvement and development. Maintain awareness of relevant market trends/initiatives and regulatory changes
Background of the Settlements Central Supports Analyst (projects & change):
- Previous experience in a change environment or project role within operations (desirable) - Exposure to the investment management environment (desirable) - Proven organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines, undertake and manage multiple tasks - Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver work to a high standard - Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence - Ability to work under pressure - Proactive and flexible approach to work; collaborative team player with ability to work independently
