The Associate Dean of Hospital Dental Service is tasked with managing and building the Hospital Dental Service department, bringing the department to prominence within OHSU and nationally; and fiscal management of the department. The Associate Dean will participate in the school and institutional committees, councils, and engage in public service activities and reports directly to the Dean of the School of Dentistry.
The responsibilities of this position include management, and supervision of the 3 divisions within the department. These divisions include Pediatric Hospital Dentistry, Adult Hospital Dentistry, and Hospital Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
The primary responsibilities of this position will be:
Set strategic direction and vision for the Hospital Dental Service in the areas of compliance, GME, patient care, finance, human resources, electronic health records and facilities
Explore new service lines and collaboration with the School of Medicine, Healthcare and strategic partners
Ensure full integration of dental activities into the OHSU Hospital system
Represent School of Dentistry hospital activity in hospital governance, leadership and service, including serving applicable committees
Provide leadership and support to chairs and program directors in the hospital activities of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Pediatric Dentistry departments and General Practice Residency program
Supervise GPR Director and Director of Hospital Dental Services
