Securities Reference Data US team oversees the firm's internal security master reference database (JSEC) that utilizes multiple internal and external reference data sources. It is also responsible for fixed income securities set up in Impact, Broadridge fixed income settlement platform, that includes monitoring Impact exceptions ques and resolving any underlying security set up issues
The core services provided by JSEC security master database include providing internal uniform product classification for all securities of interest including OTC and exchange traded derivatives, providing horizontal and vertical product identifiers cross references for securities of interest and providing security attributes.
Regular facetime with corporate business users is expected and required. As part of this process, team monitors on global basis various users reports that utilize JSEC or Impact security master data. Team members as part of that process are interacting with various business users and address any exceptions that are JSEC security master or Impact related.
In addition, the team is involved in price validation process for customer held positions and it monitors security set up exceptions in the internal settlement systems to accommodate STP trade processing.
Setting fixed income securities in Impact settlement platform and monitoring related trade exception and security exception queues.
Perform data governance functions- this will include monitoring and resolving of any internal JSEC security master or Impact related exceptions and performing data quality control analysis.
Conduct attribute validation checks against external data sources (I.E Bloomberg, S&P, and Reuters) for securities of interest
Perform cross reference data validations and data reconciliations for various reports used by corporate users.
Perform data analysis and testing for any new projects involving any new data sources or new data services.
Qualifications Required Background:
1-3 years of relevant experience with financial securities required. Fixed Income exposure (corporate/mortgage backed securities) preferable.
Bachelor's degree OR extensive experience
Advanced Bloomberg terminal knowledge. Knowledgeable in MS Excel, particularly the ability to deal with large data sets. SQL language a plus.
