Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr Development Division Dir.
In this role, the successful candidate Reporting to the Senior Managing Division Director, the Senior Division Director plays a highly-visible and important role within the Office of Development & Alumni Affairs, serving as the main liaison and connection to fundraising on Long Island, leading the NYU Winthrop team, driving the integration and alignment of NYU Winthrop with NYU Langone Health and strategically engaging with major supporters and leaders interested in philanthropy to NYULH. This individual will work closely with NYU Langones Development team to identify existing donor and prospect relationships for possible new or continued support and identify and pursue opportunities of joint interest to benefit both institutions and the unified entity. The Senior Division Director will help us to realize the Deans vision of building on the current strengths at NYU Winthrop towards a highly productive, professional and strategic Office of Development that maximizes fundraising opportunities to enhance the clinical care, research, education and capital infrastructure of the NYU Winthrop/NYU Langone system.
In partnership with Development leadership, formulate, articulate and execute a comprehensive integration strategy for NYU Langone Winthrop and Long Island affiliate sites
Working with all Development Division leaders, develop seamless communication structures between Winthrop and NYULH NY office teams (including data analytics, events, major giving, planned giving, corporation and foundation, direct mail and administrative)
Actively manage the NYU Langone Winthrop Development office team to maximize efficiencies and philanthropic potential both within the Winthrop office structure and between the One Park NY and Winthrop LI offices
Build dynamic teams and plan and implement donor cultivation and solicitation strategies to reach budgeted fundraising goals for institutional priorities and specific programs and projects
Work with the SVP and Development leadership to identify principal gift donors and, when called upon, assist in gift strategy development to support the Dean, Vice Deans, Board Chairs, Trustees, Department Chairs and lay leaders to engage and solicit seven -figure plus donors
Actively partner with the Development leadership group in strategic planning for the next campaign and well as cross divisional projects
Manage a portfolio of major and high capacity donors and prospects and seek opportunities to initiate, influence, develop and implement relationships with individuals that contribute to fundraising growth for NYU Langone Health overall
Oversee advisory board development on Long Island
Partner with Senior Development colleagues across all divisions, liaising and integrating on strategies and opportunities to meet the needs of major and high-capacity donors and prospects
Reinforce fund raising best practices, goal setting and accountability

Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a o Bachelors degree required o 15+ years of relevant experience o 6 years of management experience o Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team o Ability to interact professionally with all levels of diverse public o Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments and meet deadlines o Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills o High level of initiative and creativity
Preferred Qualifications: o Graduate Degree preferred
