We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager, Risk Strategy.
The purpose of this role is to support the Regulatory Compliance Risk Stewards to perform their role as dictated by the Operational Risk and Enterprise Wide Risk Frameworks.
Consolidate and analyze risk information to identify compelling actions for senior Regulatory Compliance stakeholders to action.
Track actions and regularly assess the effectiveness of the risk steward role.
Support the identification and correct response to trigger events.
Provide ongoing training, communication, refinement and full embedding of the Operational Risk Framework and new regulations across Regulatory Compliance.
Have excellent relationships with regional Risk Strategy, Business Risk Control Manager and Operational Risk Stakeholders.
The role will involve working with senior stakeholders around the region and the job holder will need to have excellent data and reporting skills.
To support the Business by providing specialist assistance as required.
To proactively identify key emerging compliance risks across all Regulatory Compliance categories and interface appropriately with other Regulatory Compliance teams and senior management.
To provide greater understanding of the potential impact and associated consequences of failing to manage significant new or emerging risks.
To proactively work with the Business and Stakeholders to develop policies and procedures as required.
To provide innovative and effective solutions based on Subject Matter Expert knowledge to assist the Function.
Proposing, managing and tracking the resolution of subsequent risk management actions.
Support the embedding of a globally consistent Regulatory Compliance Risk Stewards Operating model to provide actionable Regulatory Compliance risk insight.
Consolidation and analysis of risk information to identify Regulatory Compliance risk insights for senior Regulatory Compliance stakeholders to action
Implementation of tracking and oversight protocols to ensure action is taken, where required.
Training, communication, refinement and full embedding of the Operational Risk Frameworks and new regulations across Regulatory Compliance.
Providing input into the design of and implementing enhancements to Regulatory Compliance risk framework components, managing the incorporation of Regulatory Compliance requirements within the overall risk governance framework and strategy.
Driving the development and implementation of Risk Tools.
Overseeing the Consolidated Risk Report and Risk Appetite reporting processes and providing Regulatory Compliance risk analysis and commentary to senior Regulatory Compliance management, as well as proposing, managing and tracking the resolution of subsequent risk management actions.
Supporting the maintenance of the global regulatory inventory of rules for Asia Pacific.
Regulatory Compliance risk management covering a wide range of business areas
The global regulatory environment and key compliance risk trends as well as practitioner-level knowledge of regulatory obligations in multiple jurisdictions
Successful implementation of change across multiple teams and locations
Experience and proven ability
Relationship management within the context of Regulatory Compliance
Successful delivery within a change or project environment
To support decisions with sound reasoning, clearly articulate the case for risk management and policy and the business and regulatory implications of analysis and findings
Working in a major international bank, within a matrix environment, including reporting internationally
As a highly motivated and dynamic self-starter, working collaboratively within teams, delivering on time and with a strong attention to detail
With strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication, dealing with senior executives.
