Reporting to the Budget Director, the Associate Director is the principal managerial assistant to the Director and assists in the administration of the Budget Office. The Associate Director supervises and manages one or more important sections of the Budget program; assists in the preparation and submission of the state budget; prepares and reconciles the University budgets; processes budget revisions; monitors and tracks departmental budgets; advises and trains departments on various budget activities and system processes; evaluates and summarizes financial and budgetary data and information needed for executive planning; acts with the authority of the Director in his or her absence; and does related work as required.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and two years of professional budget experience in a higher education, government or business environment is required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, Master’s degree in a related field and five years of professional experience is preferred.
