The Program Coordinator I P9, will work as part of the Global One Health and International Program Offices in the Deanâ™s Office of the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences providing interdisciplinary programmatic and administrative support to the Associate Dean for Global One Health and for the Director of International Programs.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelorâ™s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of administrative experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Computer Skills. Knowledge of social media web access & presence with multiple platforms.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Microsoft Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Excel.
Budget projections and project summaries knowledge. Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience in the following related areas: program administration, public health, animal health, communications, or public policy.
Experience in budget projection, tracking, and reporting.
Experience providing report summaries of programs and minute notes from meetings to increase level of communications is needed.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work collaboratively across traditional organizational boundaries â“ internally within the CVM and TAMU, as well as with external collaborators and stakeholders.
Animal health and public health communications skills.
Demonstrated technical and creative writing.
Working knowledge of State, US government, and international programs related to animal and public health.
Knowledge of international development and project proposals.
An excellent knowledge of social media and how to use it to promote our programs.
Provides programmatic support for a number of interdisciplinary programs and initiatives to include assisting in the drafting, review and submission of proposals, logistical planning, maintenance of records, event planning and coordination, and serving as the focal point for coordination with a vast network of collaborators and partners. Plans and implements program events such as conferences, seminars, lectures, meetings, and workshops. Analyze request for proposals and new partner opportunities with government and non-government organizations.
Organizes and supports global health security next generation, study abroad, and other seminars and transformative learning opportunities for students. Tracks and collects international visitors, scholars, and students data for annual report on international activities in the college. Supports the International Program Advisory Committee meetings, funding opportunities for faculty and students and distribution of funds for selected proposals from students and faculty. Compiles program statistics. Maintains program records and databases.
Provides communications support to include the maintenance and expansion of an online presence for Global One Health and International Programs by keeping the website and social channels accurate and active, engaging with the global health community online, and increasing the overall visibility of TAMUâ™s Global One Health leadership and engagements.
Works closely and integrate with the larger CVM and university communications team to prepare and distribute event announcements, update website materials, develop and write articles, and maintain the One Health listserv. Coordinates One Healthâ™s communication and marketing. Develops and updates training materials and deliver training sessions.
Provides administrative and staff support to the Associate Dean for Global One Health and Director of International Programs, to include preparing travel arrangements/reimbursement, coordinating travel of all visitors, contacting and initiating correspondence with national and international visitors, serves as a liaison with national and international collaborators and visitors, coordinating meetings, calendar management and scheduling, drafting and editing correspondence, taking meeting minutes/notes, and performing other tasks as assigned.
Fields One Health phone line and email inquiries, screens and distributes mail, books classroom and meeting space, provides meeting agendas, greets and directs visitors, and performs all other functions related to day-to-day operations. Responds to inquiries regarding program offerings.
Provides office management support to include tracking expenses and budget, office supply and equipment maintenance, and ordering. Assists in preparation and monitoring of budgets for programs and events. Assists in identifying funding opportunities. Performs other duties as assigned.
