Role Background SSGA benefits from a long-standing and significant presence in Ireland through both its MIFID entity and also its investment fund company. The business relies on its own operations, those of the broader global business and those of affiliated entities locally to fulfil our client and regulator expectations. Reporting to the Head of Outsourcing Oversight the role will ensure robust governance for the SSGA Ireland Operations while also supporting the wider business, the Head of SSGA Ireland Limited and the SSGA Ireland Senior Management Committee.
Key Responsibilities The role will support our ability to meet and exceed regulatory expectations in Ireland. You will have responsibility for supporting the monitoring and reporting of the Outsourcing framework for the SSGA Irish business legal entities and will be tasked with ensuring that this oversight is aligned with regulatory expectations and internal State Street global policy and standards.
Work with senior management to implement and maintain the Outsourcing Framework in Ireland including both SSGA Ireland as the local legal corporate entity and SSGA Funds Management Limited as the local Management Company for the SSGA range of funds:
Monitor and maintain the integrity of the legal entities outsourcing inventories.
Assist with the upkeep and execution of all outsourcing agreements / contracts, SLAs and annual outsourcing risk assessments ensuring they are accurate and in line with EMEA Outsourcing Policy.
Produce quarterly outsourcing board metric packs.
Assist and ensure outsourcing relationship owners are meeting their obligations and provide challenge and escalation within the Outsourcing Program as appropriate.
Assist in the maintenance of the outsourcing framework model aligned to both Fund Co and our Investment Management legal entity requirements and the CBI expectations generally.
Assist the execution and maintenance of the due diligence program of our outsourcing agents and reporting to the relevant governance forums and documentation of same.
Assist in the management of sub optimal service issues / incidents their recording for governance purposes, escalation to the relevant forums and resolution / follow up where required with outsourcing relationship owners / service provider RMs.
Assist in maintenance of the Legal Entities conformance with the outsourcing framework and policies.
Assist in implementing the required governance - design, implementation and execution, of new or changing outsourcing arrangements.
Build and maintain relationships particularly with key internal and external parties as required.
Develop an understanding of the business and understand the factors that will impact our structure through either internal or external factors, and ensure that the operations framework is appropriately aligned with the corporate strategy and regulatory requirements
Stay abreast of regulatory standards and industry best practice, and provide management execution support to the Head of Outsourcing Oversight for driving out change and operational priorities.
Assist with Audit and regulatory engagement on governance and outsourcing related matters.
Experience within financial services, accounting, audit, or risk; knowledge of State Street business units a plus
Equivalent to Bachelor's degree preferably in Accounting Finance Business
Ability to think strategically and assist with the execution of a risk framework and governance structure within Global Operations
Ability to design and implement operational practices in support of corporate policies with project management skills a plus
Strong communications skills (both written and oral) ability to interact effectively across all levels of management
Highly organized with attention to detail and data driven with an analytical and inquisitive mind-set
Ability to assess and determine acceptable levels of risk within a service or process and make assessments, detect emerging trends and champion effective risk mitigation
Self-motivated individual with positive, can-do attitude that motivates and encourage others who enjoys undertaking challenges
