Summary: The Director of Technology and Data Managementsupports Cook Children's Health Care System (CCHCS) by providing leadership tothe Epic Technical Team, Database Administration and Development Team, DataIntegration Team and Applications Development Team. The Director supports,promotes and drives the implementation of Epic technology and security, datamanagement and data security and privacy best practices. The Director isresponsible for leading and promoting a culture of data-driven decision-makingby working closely with other CCHCS Leaders on data governance and defining andmonitoring organizational KPIs. The Director demonstrates strong leadershipskills, and oversees and implements operational day-to-day activities andprogram development in partnership with other CCHCS Leaders. The Directordevelops, maintains, and enforces standards and practices to ensure theconfidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and data to theappropriate end users. The Director develops and executes on IT strategiesto effectively accomplish overall goals of the organization.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in information technologyrequired.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in management required or 5years combined of management and lead/supervisory experience required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Health Careenvironment preferred.

Proven experience with business and technical requirementsanalysis, elicitation, modeling, verification and methodology development.
Experience programming in C#, SQL or equivalent programminglanguages.
Experience with database administration, optimization,performance tuning, and capacity planning. Experience with current MicrosoftSQL Server platforms. Familiarity and practical application of the MicrosoftTechnology Stack.
Experience with data management and software developmentlifecycles.
Experience with HL7 development platforms: Corepoint,Cloverleaf, or Rhapsody. Experience overseeing the design, development, andimplementation of data integration solutions, systems, or products. Knowledgeof CDA, CCD and CCDA. Knowledge of FHIR and RESTful web services.
Knowledge of networks, virtual desktop, server operatingsystems, EMC SAN storage technologies, VMWare Server Virtualization, andoverall infrastructure design and architecture.
Experience with security administration and securityprovisioning.
Must have sound knowledge of the health care environment andapplications.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:
Epic certification(s) required within 6 months of employment
