The Center for Campus Life offers student leadership opportunities as well as educational and social programming that maximizes student learning outside the classroom. A variety of University-wide programs and events are coordinated to engage students in MCPHS Life, including Orientation, Family Weekend and Commencement. Responsibilities:The Graduate Assistant supports the Center for Campus Life in creating and implementing educational, social and recreational programming for MCPHS University students. This is a part-time temporary position. Assist with Orientation planning and coordination with Senior Associate Director, and with daily operations for the Center for Campus Life as assigned Assist with budget, event approvals, training development, selection and promotion for one or more of the four student leadership positions in Campus Life such as Assembly of Clubs and Professional Organizations (ACPO), Campus Activities Board (CAB), Intercultural Student Advocates (ISA), Orientation Leaders (OLs) and Student Government Associations (SGA) Plan the Fall and Spring Campus Life Fair Oversee the new club and professional organizations application process with ACPO in the Fall and Spring Design Spring trainings for Campus Life student leadership positions Assist with recruitment and selection for student leadership positions in Campus Life Assists with departmental operations, including room reservations, work orders, catering, billing, etc. Create and maintain various advertisement campaigns for programs sponsored by the Center for Campus Life Coordinates and oversees the social media handles and campaigns for the Center for Campus Life Oversee the management of the Center for Campus Life Blackboard site Work large scale campus-wide programming including Orientation, Family Weekend, Open Houses, Accepted Student Days and Commencement Opportunities to join various institutional or Colleges of the Fenway wide committees Possible night and weekend workAdditional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications:Required: Currently or will be pursuing a master?s degree in higher education and/or student affairs administration, education, counseling or related field concurrently while in the Graduate Assistant position Ability to work with various forms of technology, including social media Ability to demonstrate teamwork and leadership while working with staff and students Ability to be available, visible, and approachable to students within the college community, and attends college community functions Ability to work nights and weekends as neededApplyTo apply, please visit www.mcphs.edu/careers.
