This particular role is part of MRD's Data Strategy team and will report directly to the Global MRD Chief Operating Officer ("COO"). Primary Responsibilities · Lead all strategic data management efforts globally · Convert global strategy of the Risk Domain into data standards, architecture and requirements · Provide Risk Domain leadership on matters pertaining to governance, implementation and issue remediation · Develop and monitor an implementation plan to meet the Firm's Risk Data Management Principles · Manage implementation of data strategy as appropriate (e.g., Brexit implementation) · Own and maintain MRD's policies and procedures pertaining to Data Management · Interface and manage relationships with internal stakeholders within FRM and the Front Office · Co-chair the Market Risk Data Council · Co-chair the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book ("FRTB") Data Forum · Act in an advisory capacity across MRD
Skills Required · Knowledge of financial products, risk representations and risk management outputs such as VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis and capital calculations · Significant project management experience with technology, data and information systems · Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage large-scale, global data initiatives · Strong communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders · Ability to develop and maintain meaningful business and team relationships · High degree of professional and ethical standards Skills Preferred · W hile not compulsory, project management experience particularly in the risk management sphere will be viewed favorably Experience · Minimum 8 years of experience in financial services or technology/information security firm
