ASIS International, a professional membership organization located in Alexandria, VA with 34,000 global members seeks a savvy Volunteer Engagement Manager.
Serve as the primary liaison to ASIS Councils, providing exceptional project management in overseeing multiple council-related projects; advise Council Vice-Presidents on appropriate measures to maintain fluid operation; primary support to council staff liaisons.
Successful candidates will preferably possess a bachelor’s and 5+ years of progressive association and governance, committee or component relations experience. Advanced education beyond bachelor’s degree and CAE or similar certification preferred. Specific experience working within and/or managing committees, councils or other leadership components a plus
We're looking for an individual with the ability to communicate and listen well. Developed interpersonal skills -- able to interact at all levels of the organization and provide high-level customer service. Must be a good problem solver and facilitator, with excellent critical thinking and analytical skills. Strong team/relationship building, presentation and group facilitation skills. Successful candidate must also have significant knowledge and experience using CRM or comparable association management systems. Must possess an intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint. Advanced Microsoft skills and experience with NetForum a plus.
