The role holder will play an important part in driving disruptive thought leadership and implementing new approaches to accelerate delivery of our business priorities. The O&T Outsourcing Management Manager (OMM) will be involved in maintaining and overseeing compliance of bank's providers in accordane with relevant guidelines from regulators (MAS, HKMA, etc) and the adoption of outsourcing policies within the bank. He/She will play a thought leadership role in defining the strategy of Outsourcing Management, SLA management of outsource providers and to ensure full alignment of bank's outsourcing policies. This role is a key position in O&T as he/she manages the governance and compliance of the performance level of all vendors' rendering IT or Operations services in the O&T. Regardless technology or operations, this role is expected to realize organizational strategy and responsibility of the maximisation of cost savings and ensuring high quality of services delivered by the portfolio of vendors/suppliers in O&T. The OMM constantly cooperates with his/her team on continuous improvement initiatives, has responsibility of providing inputs (or leading) in the planning and introduction of new products and services of external vendors/providers. The OMM is responsible for reducing the vendor supplier cost, with compliance with the main strategy of the bank or group. Roles and Responsibilities: Leadership/Supervisory
Responsible for ensuring the Service Management process, Operational and Service Level Agreements (and the underpinning contracts with vendors) are appropriate and in place for portfolio of vendors/providers.
Monitoring service performance and adherence to agreed-upon service level targets.
Implement new and/or improve upon existing processes and techniques to drive service levels higher while controlling costs for O&T.
Chair the regular service performance forums with respective vendors/providers and internal stakeholders, rectify gaps in services rendered.
Proactively identify and resolve misalignments and weaknesses in Services received, ensuring users get optimal Services and Support.
Participate regularly in management of all intra-group (or external) Service Level Agreement (SLA) for BAROS entities.
Help ensure regulatory requirements and O&T policies are complied with and internal control is in place.
Manage queries and responses or information related to SLA or Outsourcing Services Agreement.
Design & Strategy
Provide thought leadership in onboarding and delivery oversight of technology or operations services relevant to the bank.
Stategise, plan, design, review, and maintain the inventories, policies, and frameworks that enable optimal vendor/provider performance of services rendered.
Innovate to create a step change in the business users' experience through test and learn experiments, supported by strategic collaborations and partnerships.
Collaboration & Support
Work hand in hand with all the IT, business and other stakeholders
Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, Finance, COO and any other stakeholders related to the technology and operation services rendered.
Own the end-to-end chain of services delivered out from O&T to users, and maintain strong collaboration over all vendors/providers supporting the chain.
Qualifications Responsibilities: · At least 15 years of experience in Technology Services Management in financial services industry, with in depth understanding of the functions of banking operations and technology functions across the bank. · Broad financial expertise with knowledge of program management, enterprise/corporate processes, project planning, and project financials fundamental, and business policies. · Proven track record of either handling outsourcing vendors, in related technology field, or supply chain management, or vendor management. · Handled business, finance, statistics, economics, familiar with procurement process, budget control, performance analysis and contract management. · Deep knowledge of vendor performance metrics and be capable of employing these metrics on non-traditional vendors such as Cloud and fintech providers. · Good analytical skills, positive attitude and good learning ability with great attention to detail and multitasking. · Fast learning capacity (bank organization, people, process and etc.), organized and details oriented, inquisitive and questioning in nature. · Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels within an organization, from the most technical engineer to the savviest business / executive leader. · Self-motivated, self-starter, and demonstrated ability working independently and under minimum supervision · Comfortable challenging ideas and working with disparate groups to bring about consensus. Experienced negotiator and skilled in conflict resolution.
