We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Database Analyst.
The Database Analyst will work with several research studies and the Military Family Center, in the Department of Psychiatry at NYU Langone Health. Under the oversight of the Senior Database Analyst, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting all aspects of data management activities to several research clinical trials and multi-site initiatives and related Military Family Center activities.
Develop data cleaning, quality control and ETL routines
Design, maintain and update databases and data collection tools
Ensure smooth integration of data acquired from disparate sources
Design case report forms (CRF) in EDC systems as needed
Generate and maintain codebooks and data dictionaries
Create reports in SAP Business Objects
Conduct queries and reports for statistical analysis and reporting purposes
Produce data files for further analysis by statisticians
Perform system backups and recovery
Manage user accounts and access permissions to folders and files, establish new user accounts and privileges
Other related duties as assigned
To qualify you must have a BS degree or higher in computer science, engineering, statistics or math or related field with 1-2 years related experience. Requires an in depth understanding of data collection, data flow management, data manipulation, data archiving and data standards. Knowledge of database and data software technologies Experience with MS SQL-Server and Oracle database management and programming Experience with python or a similar scripting language Ability to work on multiple projects, tasks and priorities to achieve desired goals Strong accuracy and attention to detail Experience with REDCap, TrialMaster, MATLAB and SAP Business Objects are a plus Demonstrated strong teamwork and organizational skills, and outstanding interpersonal skills
Experience working in research, healthcare or university setting is preferred
