The UMKC School of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full-time, ranked, non-tenure track, 100% FTE, benefit eligible Clinical Associate/Clinical Professor to direct the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program. The Program is a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CoDA)-approved residency with 6 first-year residents. The Director is responsible for overall development and direction of the Program including setting the standards for growth in excellence while maintaining the core direction of broad advanced experience in general dentistry. The Director works with other faculty maintaining the standards required of CoDA for AEGD Programs; has responsibility for coordination of staff in the area and working cooperatively with the faculty and staff of the Dental Faculty Practice/Somers Clinic and participates in the Advanced Education Committee of the School. Fiscal responsibilities for the program operation, oversight and growth is required. The director will have skills in strategic positioning of the program and a vision for program development.
Qualified candidates will hold a DDS or DMD degree with an appropriate level of practice experience, and have completed an AEGD or General Practice Residency certificate program from an accredited program prior to teaching experience.
Exceptional leadership skills to establish expectations for the program operation, the academic and clinical programs, and interpersonal skills in staff management are required. The successful candidate will provide overal leadership for the program and is expected to be able to provide direct clinical supervision of residents and to provide clinical care in the faculty practice.

This is a full-time, 100% FTE, benefit eligible position
Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualificaitons.
