The University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Dentistry is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the department of Oral and Craniofacial Sciences.
Postdoctoral Fellow to perform research in the area of dental materials; the position involves in-depth development of new dental polymeric materials and application of novel technologies for long-lasting dental composite restorations. Other general duties include: presenting results in oral and written form to appropriate forums; participating in the training and supervision of dental students, and assisting fellow co-workers in areas of scientific expertise; collaborating with other members of the laboratory on research problems of mutual interest, which fits into the overall long-term research goals of the laboratory.
As with any Postdoctoral Fellow position, the duties of the incumbent are highly technical and require the skills of a professional who holds a Ph.D. in Biomaterials Science, Polymer Chemistry, or related disciplines.
Prior experience in dental research or polymer synthesis is preferred.
Full Time/Part Time
This is a full-time, 100% FTE, benefit eligible academic position.
The salary for this position is up to $47,476, and is commensurate with proven experience and education.
