This role is a unique opportunity to support the MIS Chief of Staff on the formulation and execution of MIS strategic priorities across MIS's business lines and geographies. The position requires a unique blend of analytical, creative mindset and excellent stakeholder management abilities. The chosen candidate will have frequent exposure to the MIS management team and other senior members of the company. The Assistant Vice President will support the MIS Chief of Staff in the following ways:
Support MIS Chief of Staff with the execution of strategic priorities and special projects. Duties
Serve as a trusted partner and advocate for the MIS Chief of Staff; and will focus on day-to-day activities that will drive the successful execution of MIS strategic priorities
Communicate MIS strategic priorities to internal and external (investors, boards, etc.) constituents and drive engagement across teams in MIS
Execute on special projects to bring greater efficiencies and growth to MIS
Synthesize complex data and develop recommendations based on analytics, market intelligence and financial modelling
Prepare and curate MIS and MCO for internal engagements including, but not limited to, town halls, senior management off-sites, and other ad hoc initiatives as needed
Conceptualize and develop presentations for external presentations including to investors, regulators, etc.
Appraise macro-economic, market and industry dynamics, ensuring the MIS leadership team is kept up to speed with trends and potential risks and challenges
Provide accurate and robust reporting to give a comprehensive view of business performance against key initiatives
Partner with all stakeholders across MIS Lines of Business (LOBs) and Shared Services to ensure alignment of key communication messages to achieve shared objectives
Support the MIS Chief of Staff with all other necessary activities
Excellent analytical, critical thinking and strategic problem solving skills with the ability to cut through complexity
Proven track record in having played a meaningful role in designing, developing and delivering strategic plans
Demonstrable agility to work collaboratively across a global matrixed organization and work well in a dynamic environment to meet deadlines within short time constraints whilst maintaining the utmost attention to detail
Ability to set priorities, be proactive and assume responsibility for work and work product
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills
Excellent computer proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, calm under pressure
Highly organized and efficient
Demonstrated ability to work with confidential material
Experience in consulting, and/or an in-house global strategic initiatives function
Undergraduate BA/BS degree in business, finance/economics, management or similar field
At least 6-10 years of work experience with exposure to financial services
MBA a plus
