In this role, the successful candidate Real Estate Development and Facilities (RED+F)
The mission of Real Estate Development and Facilities (RED+F) Department is to plan, develop, operate and maintain the campus of NYU Langone Health and provide the foundation for its growth and success in the 21st century. RED+F provides strategic campus planning and project development services, including architectural studies, programming, design, construction and associated infrastructure and technological upgrades, for new structures and renovations to existing structures on the NYU Langone Health campus.
The Department also operates and manages all facilities, infrastructure and related support services across the medical center. RED+F is composed of the Real Estate, Housing, Planning & Project Development, Facilities Operations & Management, Finance & Administration, Campus Security, Environmental Services, Environmental Health & Safety, Radiation Safety and Clinical Engineering divisions.
Overall Role and Primary Responsibilities
Position Summary: Reporting to NYU Langone Medical Centers Senior Interior Project Manager, the Project Coordinator, Interiors will work hand in hand with the Senior Project Manager Interiors to create and maintain the NYULHS design aesthetic across all areas of the campuses. They will act in a supervisory roll with Interior coordinators and Interior interns and be in charge of delegating projects and setting deadlines for project completion. Project types vary from Office Interiors Healthcare Interiors to Education and public spaces.
Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong aesthetic sensibility.
Strong organizational skills and an ability to work on multiple projects.
Evaluate completed projects post-occupancy to assess success of materials and furniture specifications.
Evaluate products to ensure they perform in accordance with NYULMC standards.
Research and continue updating and developing the materials library.
Preform field surveys to ensure accuracy of drawings and site preparedness for installations
Review furniture dealership quotes for accuracy and completeness.
Assist with specifying furniture, tracking furniture, and oversight of furniture installations.
Assist the Interiors Senior PM on multiple projects.
Perform site surveys independently
Create and review lighting designs and light fixture schedules Utilize Revit MEP and other lighting software
To qualify you must have a 'Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design Preferably, healthcare design experience or healthcare concentration in school; Must be proficient in Auto Cad, Power Point, Photoshop, MS Office; Ability to perform space planning such as departmental re-configurations.'
