The Senior Analyst (SA) is a key member of the EPMO's project engagement teams and will work closely with the EPMO Senior Project Managers. The SA will be creating and leading the analytic program with the actionable data collected so it can be used to inform and influence decision making to achieve successful outcomes. The SA will maintain and develop professional relationships throughout the process with key partners and stakeholders in departments across BCH.
This Senior Analyst (SA) for the Enterprise Project Management Office will be responsible for:
Creating and leading the EPMO analytics program by partnering with colleagues from IT, Finance and additional operational and revenue departments to develop on-demand reporting processes and outputs.
Utilizing existing data sets by combining from multiples sources (SQL databases, Excel files, flat files, etc.) into the integrated views that are used to drive analysis for decision making and focusing on the quality and integrity of database input.
Advising on the development of data collection and management systems and defines specifications for key data elements and data collection procedures.
Applying design and data analysis techniques to organize the presentation of data in visually innovative ways to make it easier for the end user to understand and produce actionable items.
Providing intelligence on the capabilities and functionalities of visualization tools (e.g. MicroStrategy or Tableau).
Obtaining external data from government agencies, payers, researchers and other relevant sources. Links results to hospital data for benchmarking and other analyses.
To qualify you must have:
A Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management or Business Administration, Science or Computer Science, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of successful experience performing financial, operational, utilization, quality improvement or other associated quantitative analytic work in challenging professional environments. Experience collaborating with or leading process improvement initiatives is a plus.
Strong understanding of, and ability to apply, relational database concepts to the analysis of complex data gathered from diverse sources.
Demonstrated ability with SQL syntax and/or related coding skills and a familiarity with dimensional data modeling concepts used in data warehousing and business analytics applications is required.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong professional relationships.
