The CIB Treasury is responsible for evaluating all aspects of the CIB balance sheets across all legal entities, in order to help optimize CIB businesses' strategy in the context of the Firm's balance sheet, liquidity, capital, leverage and other regulatory constraints.
The group partners with Corporate Treasury to develop efficient policies and procedures for deployment of CIB's balance sheet and monitors compliance with the Firm's targets.
An in-depth knowledge of the businesses' products, customers, behaviors, trends and strategies, as well as interest rate risk, are paramount to the effectiveness and success of the team.
There is matrix responsibility for CIBT Asia balance sheets along product and country dimensions.
The primary CIBT Banking specialist also having responsibility for a sub-set of Asia legal entities
Primary roles and responsibilities include:
Legal entity ALM, including currency, tenor and duration mismatches
Interest rate risk policy, implementation and strategy
Liquidity stress testing
FTP/LP policy, in partnership with Corporate Treasury
Regulatory strategy and limit/target setting and monitoring
Balance sheet and NII quantitative modeling
Managing junior team members
Act as a key contact in relation to CIB Banking Treasury matters for CIB LOBs, Corporate Treasury, Liquidity Risk Oversight, Legal Entity Controllers and other partners
Foster strong relationships with Treasury, LOB, and LEC partners
Develop and implement FTP and LP policies for Banking businesses, in partnership with Corporate Treasury
Support Banking in the development of new deposit products and pricing strategies in the region.
Partner with CIB Markets and Banking to drive balance sheet optimization and achieve targets for respective legal entity
Implement and harmonize legal entity LCR and stress test methodologies and processes, in partnership with CIBT Liquidity Controller, Corporate Treasury, Liquidity Risk Oversight and Legal Entity Controllers
Support initiatives to address legal entity capital, liquidity and funding issues
Work closely with CIBT colleagues in NA and EMEA to ensure globally coordinated approach
Maintain up to date knowledge of global and local regulations related to balance sheet and Treasury
Create presentations intended for the businesses and senior management
Enhance CIB Treasury MIS in the region Qualifications:
The candidate should have 4+ years experience in a banking or markets role, e.g. business management, finance, or sales/trading or similar
Basic knowledge of derivative products
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills and attention to detail required
Strong data management and project management skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong knowledge of banking and custody products a plus
Basic knowledge of derivative products a plus
Solid understanding of balance sheet and experience with balance sheet analysis a plus
Knowledge of accounting, short-term fixed income markets, firm's funding model, entity structure, or previous Treasury experience is a plus
Experience with NBIA process and systems a plus
Familiarity with risk management/trading platforms a plus
