The InvestmentInformation Services (IIS) team is part of the Custody and Fund Servicesbusiness. The team develops and maintains high quality Performance Analyticssoftware. The Sydney team is part of the global IIS team distributed overDublin, Dallas, and New York. The team works with local and global stakeholdersto specify, develop, test, deliver and maintain the software products. The teamhas recently embarked on a major overhaul to the legacy systems, and thesuccessful candidate will be involved in specifying and designing the next-genplatform.
As a memberof our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creatinginnovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You'll join aninspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design,analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goesinto creating high quality software and new products. You'll be tasked withkeeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress ofwhat's being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance ofend-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best ofall, you'll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation withour global team of technologists from all over the world.
This role requires awide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Understanding of architecture and design across all systems Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
Expertise in core Java (ideally Java 1.8) and proficiency in at least one other language e.g. Python
Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on application development experience throughout entire SDLC
Demonstrable experience with relational DBs - ideally Oracle
Experience in developing Service Oriented Architectures/webservices
Experience in using messaging and middleware components e.g. Websphere MQ, Hazelcast
