The Department of Economic Security is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Case Manager 2. This position is responsible for serving members with developmental disabilities, e.g., Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disability (for example, Down Syndrome), Epilepsy, etc., by supporting them and their families to lead the healthiest, most self-sufficient, productive lives within their capabilities. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge in methods, procedures, and techniques used in the development of Individual Support Plans (ISP).
- Knowledge in Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Knowledge in Medical and behavioral health issues and terminology.
- Skills in oral and written communication.
- Skills in interpersonal relations as applied to contacts with members and representatives of other governmental and community organizations and the public.
- Skills in the use of various software (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and within diverse work teams.
- Ability to absorb, interpret, and assimilate large quantities of written material.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Employee shall have a valid level one fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 41-2758.07 in order to work with children and vulnerable adults.
- If the position is required to drive on state business, the position will require the possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12).
- Candidate must possess a degree in Social Work (SW), Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) OR two (2) years of case management experience serving elderly and/or persons with physical or developmental disabilities, and/or persons determined to have a Serious Mental Illness (SMI).”
- Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees
- Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions
- Candidate for this position shall be subject to a search of both the Child Protective Services Central Registry pursuant to A.R.S. 8-804 and the Adult Protective Services Registry pursuant to A.R.S. 46-459
