Seek an Application Architect to work in Pittsburgh, PA, to provide technical leadership in the areas of application design and security in accordance with industry standard best patterns and practices.
Developing, maintaining, publishing, and socializing reference standards for technical architecture and patterns and update technical design artifacts in the enterprise architecture repository;
Supporting the IT security function in analyzing the underlying security design of the application code and be in a position to combat security issues, identify vulnerabilities and lead efforts to overcome IT security obstacles;
Working with the team of DevSecOps Engineers focused primarily on delivering technical solutions for improving the overall quality of product build, deployments, monitoring and alerting, with emphasis on non-functional requirements (standards, resilience, stability, scalability, security etc.);
architecting and developing highly interactive front-end web applications and reusable components using current web technologies and frameworks;
Identifying deviations in the solution design from the target architecture and proposing appropriate solutions and defining coding standards for application delivery teams with pragmatic governance;
Collaborating across design, business, and technical teams to effectively explain complex technical designs within an Agile development environment.
Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology plus eight (8) years of post-baccalaureate progressively responsible experience in a related position using Java application architecture.
Must also have any experience with or knowledge of:
Java and J2EE practices in development/ architecture
Distributed systems architectures, especially Micro-Services, Spring Boot. Web-services (Rest/Soap);
Development with databases, SQL and understanding of data processing concepts with various database types (Oracle DB,MS SQL Server)
Testing and installing software upgrades on IBM WebSphere, Apache Web Server, and Tomcat Servers
CI/CD tools kits implementing continuous build and deployment
Application security, including SAST, DAST, SCA, Secure SDLC, DevSecOps, API and Micro-services Security
Architecting, developing, and testing highly interactive front-end web applications and reusable components using Angular JS
Must also possess a Java Programmer Certification.
