ASRC Federal is seeking a Principal Contracts Administrator at our headquarters in Beltsville, MD.
This individual is responsible for managing all aspects of federal government contracts administration from cradle to grave.
Principals conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and administration of major contracts.
Monitor company performance for conformance to original proposal. Serve as point of contact for customers.
Act as an advisor regarding legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations. May provide work leadership for lower level employees.
Recommend appropriate steps to resolve contractual issues and ensure all terms and conditions are met and that the contract complies with legal requirements, customer specifications, company policies and all applicable government regulations.
Prepare and disseminate information throughout the company regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination. Initiates documentation to authorize and direct work in accordance with contractual specifications.
Coordinate and ensures proper contract closeout. Establishes and maintains good relationships with Government and customer counterparts.

7-9 years of related contracts administration experience
BS/BA in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience with additional training in contract law
Experience with all forms of government solicitations (RFP, RFQ, and other forms) and managing all types of government contracts (Cost Type, FFP, T&M, ID/IQ contracts, GWACS, and GSA schedule contracts), including reviewing and understanding pricing, representations and certifications, and subcontracting issues
Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, NASA FAR
Understanding of OCI issues and mitigation/avoidance strategies
Experience with Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements (TAs), etc.
Experience collaborating with procurement and subcontract personnel to achieve proposal and program success and compliance
Thorough understanding of all contract types including performance-based contracts, federal acquisition regulations, and Government compliance issues
Ability to analyze and summarize contract performance status for management
Must be detail oriented and accurate, able to multi-task, and possess expertise in accounting/finance practices as they relate to government contracts administration
Proficient in MS, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook with an emphasis with Excel
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Prior NASA experience a plus
Must be able to travel -- travel requirements: 10-20%
Proactive with excellent communication skills
Ability to mentor junior staff
Knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA) preferred
Knowledge of Small Business and 8(a) practices and policies is a plus
Experience with Deltek, Cost Point, GovWin preferred
US Citizenship and ability to pass a government sponsored background investigation
